Andretti Autosport, Firestone Indy Lights Race Report: Trois Rivières Carlos Muñoz, Team Dialy-Ser, No. 26 Munoz finished third in today's Firestone Indy Lights race from Trois Rivières. This was his second podium in a row after winning at Edmonton and it was his first time racing on the circuit. "Today was definitely one the longest and toughest races I have ever had with it being 60 laps. It is a very narrow circuit and you are always turning the car. I don't think we could have made the passes to win the race, but I am happy with our third-place finish. Earlier in the weekend, we had a tough time finding the speed we needed, so it is very nice to get another podium this season. I have to thank my team for trying hard like always, so that we could have a good result. I would also like to thank my family for coming here this weekend, since I don't get to see them very often. I am happy and looking forward to the next race." Sebastian Saavedra, Team AFS Racing / Andretti Autosport, No. 27 Saavedra finished today's race in the ninth position. He had advanced to fourth early on, but had to call it a day on Lap 26 after experiencing a fuel pressure problem. "It has been a while since I have had to watch the remainder of a race from pit wall. I am sad for the whole AFS Racing/Andretti Autosport team as we were looking good during today's race. I managed to get into fourth position very early on and was catching the rest of the guys at the front of the pack. Soon after that, I just started to lose power. A fuel pressure problem took us out of the race and important points for the championship are lost. I am going to keep positive and look forward to driving the #17 AFS Racing/Andretti Autosport IndyCar in Sonoma." Andretti Autosport, Star Mazda Championship Powered by Goodyear Race Report #2: Trois Rivières Sage Karam, Team Comfort Revolution, No. 88 Karam won today's Star Mazda Series race from Trois Rivières. This is his eighth podium out of the last ten races. Today also marked his first win on a street circuit. He remains second in the championship point standings, 40 points out of the lead. "At the start of the race, I moved from third to second behind Hawksworth. I couldn't really make a pass on him when we were side-by-side. It then started to sprinkle and I knew that was going to be our best bet at getting around him. Once it started raining a lot harder, they brought out the red flag and we all came in to change our tires. Once we went back out, we had a really good battle going on. I tried to make the pass at Hawksworth at the first opportunity I got and once I did, my goal was to maintain consistent laps. No matter what condition this track is in, it is always on edge. It is such a narrow place and the slightest mistake can lead to a crash. Trois Rivières is definitely one of my favorite tracks. I am very happy to get my first road course win in the Star Mazda Series. The team worked so hard for this so I can't thank them enough." Zach Veach, Team K12, No. 77 Veach finished eighth in today's Star Mazda Series race, after starting 10th. The No. 77 K12/Andretti Autosport team worked hard last night and this morning to repair a broken clutch from the first Star Mazda Series race yesterday. "Even though we still finished in eighth like yesterday, I think today was a lot better day. We got the clutch problem resolved, but actually had a bit of a scare with it this morning. The guys worked so hard at getting the car put back together within thirty minutes of having to roll it out to the grid. I really want to thank them for all of the effort they have put in this weekend. Our race was really tough. I was running in eighth and trying to get around a car, but there was a lot of blocking going on. Once I did get by, the rain started to fall and then the red flag came out for us to pit. Once we went back to green in the rain, I moved up to seventh, but made a bit of a mistake trying to pass for sixth, so I fell back to eighth. Overall, it was a good day and we learned a lot. We'll take what we learned here to Baltimore. Thank you to K12, Zakoski Data Backup, Young Marines, Replay XD, ADS, OMP, and Arai Helmets for making all of this possible this weekend."
